At a meeting on March 10th, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the first stage of the distribution of additional subventions from the state budget to local budgets.
More than UAH 10.2 billion will be allocated to 853 communities in 17 regions.
The funds are intended as a means of carrying out the duties of local authorities, covering salaries and utility bills.
The main goal is to support communities that host internally displaced persons and communities affected by the war.
The funds will help communities to balance the financial position of local budgets, taking into account the number of internally displaced persons, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
