Residents of the de-occupied settlements are actively cooperating with the search teams of the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons. It is thanks to local residents that searchers quickly navigate and find locations where there are likely to be burials.
Such cooperation speeds up the search for people and their subsequent identification.
“Our search team continues to work in the liberated areas. It is very important that people trust us and pass on information about the places of possible burials. I would also like to emphasize once again that relatives of missing persons should not hesitate and submit DNA materials as soon as possible. This is an important element of the search work, without which experts cannot identify the bodies,” emphasized Oleh Kotenko, the Commissioner for Missing Persons.
To report missing persons and places of possible burials, please call the hotline of the Comissioner’s Office: 0 800 339 247, or personally to the Commissioner by phone: (099) 792-01-26. On weekends, you can send a message in Viber and Telegram to the number: (095) 896-04-21.
