Despite the daily challenges caused by the war, more than 90% of medical institutions in the frontline and liberated regions continue to work fully.

The availability of medical services was assessed by the Ministry of Health together with the WHO Regional Office in Ukraine.

The current situation was monitored in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Donetsk regions.

Currently, the most difficult situation remains in Donetsk region, where only one third of medical facilities are fully operational and another third are partially functioning.

This report will allow the Government to rationally allocate resources to the regions where medical facilities need to be restored as a matter of priority.

The next phase of the project, covering the remaining regions of Ukraine, will begin soon.
