If a DNA match is found, re-selection of genetic material is possible under certain conditions.
- During the identification of the body, there were obvious inconsistencies in the appearance and individual characteristics of the missing person with the data entered in the map of the unknown person.
- The percentage of matches is very low.
- A previously collected sample of genetic material was lost.
It is impossible to initiate a second examination at your own. To do this, you need to contact the investigator, who will issue a decision to re-sample the biomaterial and order an examination to isolate the DNA profile.
We are reminding that DNA samples can only be taken from blood relatives: parents or children of a missing person.
