Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk expressed her gratitude to the homeowners who volunteered to take in the affected residents of Kherson Oblast under the “Shelter” program.

The Vice Prime Minister reminded that the Government’s program had worked effectively in the first months of the full-scale war. After the incident at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, a mass evacuation was also necessary. The program has shown its effectiveness once again.

“The “Shelter” is working very well. Thanks to people’s support, the displaced people have the opportunity to live in decent conditions. I am deeply grateful to the homeowners who responded,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.

The Ministry of Reintegration has been designated as the responsible executor of the “Shelter” project.

Advertisements are placed directly by homeowners. Displaced people need to register on the “Shelter” website and use a system of filters to find an apartment in the selected region for a certain period. Homeowners who provide shelter receive compensation from the state to pay for utilities.
