Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk made this appeal to foreign governments on the ICTV channel.

According to her, the russians want to use foreigners, especially children, as human shields during the Ukrainian offensive. This applies to all temporarily occupied territories, including Crimea.

“We have serious reasons for such an appeal. This is especially true for those foreigners who, due to russian propaganda, do not have full information about what is happening. Our army started an offensive.  Therefore, please make sure that there are no foreign citizens on the temporarily occupied territories, especially in Ukrainian Crimea, neither adults nor children. The occupiers will use them as human shields or sacrificial victims,” the Vice Prime Minister summarized.
