Estonian Parliament Supports Establishment of Special Tribunal for the Crime of russian Aggression

The Estonian Parliament adopted a statement demanding to bring to justice those who planned and committed the crime of aggression against Ukraine. He also called for the establishment of an international special tribunal under the auspices of the United Nations.

In the statement, the Members of Parliament emphasize that the russian federation’s aggressive war against Ukraine is the most brutal act of aggression in Europe since the Second World War, which requires an adequate legal response.

According to the statement, establishing and ensuring the launch of an international special tribunal on russia’s crimes in Ukraine is becoming a priority of Estonia’s foreign policy.

The deputies also called on governments and parliaments of other countries around the world to actively participate in the creation of the tribunal under the auspices of the United Nations General Assembly.
