The government has allocated UAH 564 million 875 thousand to Kherson and Mykolaiv regional military administrations to help the affected population as a result of the bombing of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant by Russia.
Each person affected by the flooding will receive one-time financial support assistance of UAH 5 thousand.
Payments will be organized by the Kherson and Mykolaiv Regional Military Administrations.
In addition, under a joint decision with our partners, all those affected will receive additional financial assistance from the UN International Organization for Migration. It will amount to UAH 6,600 per person.
“I am grateful to the Government for its prompt response. The best help for people is money and fast. I express my special gratitude to the International Organization for Migration for responding and being ready to support people in distress,” emphasized Iryna Vereshchuk.
