Self-help techniques can help you overcome anxiety and regain normal psychological well-being. Developed by therapists as part of the “How are you?” project at the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.
Exercises to help you calm down:
“A picture book”
To make it easier to deal with fears or unpleasant feelings, you can visualize them. Close your eyes. Imagine an open book with blank pages. Imagine the fear or feeling there in the form of a picture. Now roll it up, put it next to you, and go about your business.
Close your eyes. Feel the ground with your feet. Breathe in deeply and slowly through your nose, counting to three. Breathe in the air to the base of your lungs. Then slowly exhale through your mouth while counting to six. This exercise should be repeated at least 4 times.
“Amulet of Silence”
To calm yourself down, find a silence amulet. This object should fit in the palm of your hand, and you should have some pleasant memories associated with it. Take it, close your eyes, and hold it as if it were the hand of a loved one. Remember that happy moment down to the smallest detail. Take your mind back to that day. It will calm you down.
