The Constitution is the fundamental Ukrainian law. Adopted in 1996, it reflects the foundations and basic principles of the sovereign state of Ukraine, whose independence is recognized by the international community.

Subsequently, the world community called our Constitution one of the most democratic in the world.

The Constitution establishes the foundations of the state system of independent Ukraine.  It was an important step in ensuring human and civil rights and freedoms.

These are the values that we are fighting for right now.
