The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe adopted a final declaration recognizing Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. A member of the Ukrainian delegation to the OSCE PA, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yevhenia Kravchuk said.

In particular, the OSCE PA calls upon Member States to strengthen international norms that recognize the responsibility of the russian federation as a state sponsor of the PMC “Wagner Group” terrorist organization and emphasizes the inadmissibility of involving such entities in interstate relations.

The OSCE PA’s decision was prompted by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s acknowledgment of state funding for the private military contractor Wagner. According to the statement, the company’s actions on behalf of the russian government can be characterized as terrorist.
