140.3 million hryvnias were allocated from the state budget reserve fund to provide financial assistance to people who have returned from captivity and to the families of those who are still in captivity. The order was approved at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 11.

In particular, the document provides 111.3 million UAH in annual state financial assistance to the families of political prisoners, civilian hostages and prisoners of war. It is paid in the amount of 100 thousand hryvnia for each year of imprisonment of such persons.

In addition, 29 million UAH will be allocated to pay 100,000 UAH in one-time state financial assistance to those released from captivity.

The Ministry of Reintegration will transfer funds to the bank accounts of these individuals.

The Ministry of Reintegration is grateful to the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for their cooperation in ensuring the social protection of the released prisoners and their families.
