The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide $500 million in humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians affected by the war. USAID reports this on its website.
The funds will be used to support IDPs, provide emergency food and medical assistance, shelter, safe drinking water, and multi-purpose cash assistance.
The project will also fund psychosocial protection programs for the most vulnerable groups, including the creation of safe spaces for women.
The new humanitarian aid package for Ukraine will be delivered through the UN, partner NGOs, and local humanitarian organizations.
