Ukraine is currently undergoing the largest power plant repair campaign in its history. The first is to repair the generation facilities.
In particular, work is underway to restore electrical substations and networks, as well as thermal generation facilities, especially in regions where it is critical. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported this.
As part of the preparations for the next heating season, a stockpile of necessary equipment is being built that may be needed to restore facilities after potential enemy attacks.
One of the energy assistance projects, Restoration of Winter Energy Supply and Energy Resource Supply, provides $500 million in funding.
Another agreement is a €37.74 million grant from the German government for special equipment to be sent to the national transmission system operator, Ukrenergo.
