In four regions – Vinnytsia, Lviv, Mykolaiv, and Dnipro – more than 200 applications have already been submitted to join this initiative. Commissions have been established in these regions to interview candidates for Veterans Assistants. In August, the selected participants are sent for training and subsequent employment.

Five other regions – Zakarpattia, Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv – have expressed their desire to join the pilot project to introduce the Institute of Veterans’ Assistants.

According to Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, this initiative will become a nationwide scale if successfully implemented.
