Local communities in 4 regions can receive grants for social services for people with disabilities

The international charitable foundation Caritas Ukraine has announced a grant competition to strengthen the capacity of local communities to provide social services to people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. According to the foundation’s website

The grants will be implemented from August 21 to October 15, 2023, in four regions: Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, and Mykolaiv.

Legally registered public, nonprofit, religious, and charitable organizations are eligible to participate.

The main objective of the grant competition is to support local communities in developing inclusion and social services for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.

The maximum amount of a grant is up to 150 thousand UAH, and there are 25 grants in total.

Grants can be used to purchase equipment, minor repairs, materials for social initiatives, activities to provide psychosocial support to children and people with disabilities, etc.

The application deadline is August 14th of this year.

The contest is carried out within the framework of the project “Support for the protection of persons with disabilities in the de-occupied territories” funded by the Ukrainian Humanitarian Foundation (UHF).
