In July 2023, the State Border Guard Service issued passports to more than 3.8 million people across the border with the EU and Moldova. This is about 600 thousand more than in June, and the number of Ukrainians returning is higher than those leaving.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine notes that the increase in passenger traffic occurred after the end of the school year in Ukrainian schools. At the beginning of summer, the number of our compatriots leaving Ukraine was higher, but the situation changed.
Of those entering Ukraine, 85% are Ukrainian citizens. Most of them are women, children, and elderly returning to their homeland.
