Residents evacuated from the settlements of Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region can find shelter in safe areas of the country with the help of the “Shelter” program.

The “Shelter” initiative is based on the principle of a bulletin board. Homeowners who are willing to host IDPs in their homes post ads about their vacant homes and contacts. And people who need housing can find it immediately and reserve it for a few days or longer. Housing under the program is provided free of charge.

You can find accommodation by registering on the “Shelter” website. After registering, you can use the filter system to find the best accommodation and contact the owner.

Under the terms of the program, those who have provided shelter will receive compensation from the state to pay for utilities.

The government appointed the Ministry of Reintegration as the responsible implementing agency for the Shelter project. The Ministry is currently keeping the relevant records and coordinating the compensation to homeowners for sheltering IDPs.
