Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired a meeting of the Coordination Center for Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons.
The representatives of the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pension Fund, Oshchadbank, Regional Military Administrations (RMAs), and other agencies and organizations took part in the event.
Among other things, the participants of the meeting discussed the issue of payment of housing allowances to IDPs and the draft Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the Implementation of a Pilot Project on the Implementation of a Comprehensive Social Service for Building Resilience”.
The process of establishing IDP councils in local authorities was also discussed. Applications are currently being accepted from those wishing to join such councils at the Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr, Kherson, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Dnipro, Rivne, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad regional military administrations and the Kyiv City Military Administration.
The IDP Councils will contribute to the implementation of the regional policy on IDPs. In particular, their adaptation and integration into host communities.
