Ukraine received another disbursement of macro-financial assistance from the European Commission in the amount of 1.5 billion EUR. The website of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine reports this.
The financial support will be used to provide housing for IDPs, pay salaries and pensions, and support the operation of key public sectors: hospitals, schools, kindergartens, etc.
It will also allow Ukraine to ensure macroeconomic stability and restore critical infrastructure destroyed by the war.
This payment was provided as part of the “Plus” macro-financial assistance package. Their total amount is up to 18 billion EUR.
The European Commission recalled that since the beginning of the war, about 76 billion euros have been allocated to support Ukraine and Ukrainians. They include financial, humanitarian, budgetary, and military support to Ukraine, as well as assistance to member states to meet the needs of Ukrainians fleeing the war in the EU.
