The Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading the draft law No. 9591 on the recognition of educational achievements of persons residing in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The Presidential Mission of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea informs.

The draft law provides for a certification procedure for the recognition of the results of such training and its continuation in Ukrainian educational institutions.

There is no certification:

– in specialties (professions) whose list is approved by the government;

– for the recognition of learning outcomes and credits of the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) at the Master’s level in higher education (except for master’s programs in medicine, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine).

The introduction of such a mechanism is an important component of the reintegration of the territories and the restoration of citizens’ access to the Ukrainian educational and cultural space. This will also allow them to realize their right to education, secure a professional career, and participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
