The Blessed Klyment Sheptytsky Foundation continues to implement the supporting program for Ukrainian women released from russian captivity.

The Office of the Prime Minister of Poland and the Ministry of Reintegration initiated the program.  The Polish government provides the funding.

It was decided to provide financial assistance to 12 more women released from captivity at the last meeting of the Fund’s Commission. Each will receive a one-time allowance of 10 thousand PLN (approximately 90 thousand UAH) before tax. This year, 34 women will receive this financial support.

The Commission also approved 21 other applications from former prisoners of war to participate in a recreational and rehabilitation trip to Poland. Previously, the Foundation’s committee approved 18 applications to participate in this trip.

The commission includes representatives of the National Information Bureau under the Ministry of Reintegration.

In 2022, 180 Ukrainian women received financial support from the Sheptytsky Foundation. In addition, 24 women received psychological support, and 19 Ukrainian women took part in a recreational and rehabilitation trip to Poland.
