The mother of 12-year-old David appealed to the Ministry of Reintegration for help in getting her son out of the TOT.
At the time of the full-scale invasion, David was staying with his great-grandmother in the village of Staromlynivka in Donetsk region, which was later occupied. When it became extremely dangerous to stay in the village, his great-grandmother and grandson moved to Donetsk.
The boy’s mother was looking for ways to bring her son home as soon as possible. Today, David returned to Ukraine and reunited with his family.
The Ministry of Reintegration is grateful to everyone who contributed to this case. We would like to express our special gratitude to Daria Kasyanova, Chairperson of the Board of the Ukrainian Network for the Rights of the Child. This summer, 27 children were returned as part of the “The Way Home” project.
We remind you that if you witness the illegal transfer of children to the temporarily occupied territories or the territory of the russian federation, please do not hesitate to report it to the specialist of the Ministry of Reintegration Natalia Yemets by phone: (050) 562-03-13. You can also call the hotline of the National Information Bureau, 16-48.
