The Government Portal reported this after a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The main indicators of readiness were announced at the meeting.

Nuclear power plants. 7 nuclear power units were repaired and 2 more will be put into operation by the beginning of the heating season. Their total capacity is 7.8 GW. The Rivne NPP started loading new nuclear fuel from Westinghouse. This was an alternative to the russian monopoly on such fuel.

Thermal power plants. By the beginning of the season, 25 units will be operational, providing 4.5 GW of capacity to the grid.

Combined heat and power plants. Nearly 80% of the equipment has been repaired, and repairs are underway and will be completed on time.

We have prepared 15.2 thousand boiler houses, about 84% of heating networks, 78% of heating stations, more than 80% of residential buildings, and 86% of schools, kindergartens, and hospitals for winter. It should be 100% in a month.

Protection of strategic energy facilities. Serious and systematic work is underway. Earlier, the government allocated an additional 9.7 billion UAH for the protection of critical infrastructure of the fuel and energy sector.

The price for gas, heat, and hot water will remain unchanged until the end of the heating season. Heat suppliers will receive natural gas from Naftogaz at a fixed price of 7.4 UAH per cubic meter. This is a preferential price that will allow them not to raise tariffs.

The government of Ukraine and allied countries have committed a total of $2.3 billion to restore and protect the energy sector.
