Polish President Andrzej Duda has signed an amendment to the law on export insurance guaranteed by the State Treasury. The Ministry of Economy’s press service reported.

The amendment will allow the state-owned KUKE Insurance Corporation to provide more effective assistance to private companies interested in rebuilding Ukraine.

With this decision, Poland launched a program for Ukraine’s reconstruction with the participation of Polish businesses. It includes three points:

– Ensuring trade with Ukraine.

– Supporting investments of Polish companies.

– Supporting the development of Ukraine.

In addition, the new Polish law allows Polish branches of foreign companies to be insured on the same basis as local companies. This is an opportunity for Ukrainian companies to expand their business in Poland under better conditions.

It also provides a procedure for reinsurance by other insurers in cases where the risk is above average or where it is not possible to obtain reinsurance in the commercial market. This will allow Polish entrepreneurs to transport to Ukraine and help rebuild the country.
