More Ukrainians have a positive attitude to seeking psychosocial help from specialists. People are willing to discuss their concerns with psychologists and family physicians.
This is evidenced by the interim results of the “How are you?” survey of providers and recipients of mental health and psychosocial support services conducted in the regions by the regional coordinators of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program.
The survey was conducted among health, social, educational, and government workers in 19 regions of Ukraine. In total, 70,000 people were interviewed. These include both service providers and service recipients.
The final results of the study will be published later. However, the interim results make it clear that Ukrainians are willing to seek psychosocial help and receive professional support.
It was also found that the majority of Ukrainians trust public authorities and trusted psychologists as a source of information on mental health.
