Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported the creation of 10,000 new workplaces.
After the fifteenth round of microgrants, 310 Ukrainians were recognized as winners. $74 million will be given to start or grow businesses.
Since the start of 2023, the state has identified 4354 winners who will receive financial support exceeding $1 billion.
The state has invested 1.6 billion UAH to develop small and medium-sized businesses through grants since the beginning of the program.
Most grant recipients currently come from the Lviv, Rivne, Kyiv, Vinnytsia regions, and the city of Kyiv. Most of them intend to buy the necessary equipment for their business using funds.
The top industries where the victors of the fifteenth round will be employed include:
- wholesale and retail trade,
- repair of motor vehicles,
- temporary accommodation and catering,
- processing industry.
Under the “Grant for Your Own Business” plan, Ukrainians can get a small grant ranging from 50 to 250 thousand UAH. Both current business owners and individuals with no prior experience have the chance to receive funds. To qualify, they must create 1-2 jobs, depending on the grant’s size.
