The new emergency number 112 is now available for people in Kyiv who need immediate assistance. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko has confirmed that the new system is fully operational.
The number 112 can replace the 101, 102, 103, and 104 hotlines. This will save time as you won’t have to call each service separately. Operators will send requests to the appropriate response units.
The phone service lets individuals with hearing or speech problems call in, which is important.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds us that the introduction of a single number for calling emergency services has started in Kyiv. Over 167,000 calls were received in nearly three months. The majority of the calls were directed to the National Police of Ukraine.
