This was discussed at a Coordination Headquarters for IDPs meeting led by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk on September 28.
Representatives from the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ombudsman’s Office, the State Employment Service, regional military administrations, and other organizations attended the event.
The meeting attendees talked about payments for the “Shelter” program, which provides compensation for free temporary housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs). It costs 450 UAH every month to provide accommodation for one IDP during the warm season and 900 UAH during the heating season.

Next week, funding for July’s compensation should begin.
As a reminder, if you provide shelter to IDPs, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society will pay you compensation. It may also be provided to tenants of state or municipal housing, homeowners, or their representatives.
The Government has chosen the Ministry of Reintegration to oversee the “Shelter” project.
