The state budget reserve fund allocated 180.1 million UAH to provide financial assistance to those released from captivity and to the families of those still in captivity. The Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the order on 17th October. The Ministry of Reintegration proposed the draft document.

The document provides in particular an annual state financial assistance of 129.2 million UAH to the families of political prisoners, civilian hostages, and prisoners of war. It’s paid 100 thousand UAH for each year of imprisonment.

In addition, 50.9 million pounds will be set aside to give a one-time state financial assistance of 100,000 UAH to those released from russian captivity.

The Ministry of Reintegration will transfer funds to these people’s bank accounts.

The Ministry of Reintegration is grateful to the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for their cooperation in ensuring the social protection of those released from prison and the families of prisoners.
