Among them are 236 individual entrepreneurs and 53 legal entities. This was discussed at a meeting on employment and vocational training of IDPs chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
The competition is organized with the financial support of the German government and the European Union. Three banking institutions take part in it: JSC Oschadbank, PrivatBank, and Lviv Bank.
The program provides for 750 grants. The maximum amount of a grant is 160 thousand UAH. Funds may be used to pay salaries, purchase fixed assets, goods and materials, rent, pay for services and work performed, etc.
After receiving notification of winning the contest, the participant must contact the bank to open a grant servicing account and enter into an agreement. The Entrepreneurship Development Fund will then transfer funds to this account.
“Supporting small businesses is one of the key factors in the country’s economic recovery,” said the Vice Prime Minister.
