Increase awareness among TOT citizens about restoring documents

Опубліковано 4 November 2023 року, о 11:27

People who leave the TOT frequently lose their documents. Recovering them is a time-consuming procedure.

People need to be fully aware that they can get help to recover important documents. Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized this at one of the working sessions.

If you lose or your documents have expired, you can return to your home country. The law ensures that all Ukrainian citizens have the right to return to Ukraine for any reason without any restrictions.

If you have any queries regarding document restoration, please contact the State Migration Service.  You can find information on how to get help during document processing in the infographic.

“The government and volunteers must inform people clearly about where to go and what to do to regain their documents. Without these documents, people cannot receive social assistance or lead a normal life,” the Vice Prime Minister said.

Evacuated individuals from Ukraine are often unable to reside in temporary housing due to a lack of accepted documentation. An official stressed the importance of establishing a better mechanism to enable such settlements.

Iryna Vereshchuk paid special attention to Ukrainians evacuated from Kolotylivka and Pokrovka checkpoints. She instructed to prepare lists of Ukrainians who have lost their documents and need help in solving bureaucratic problems.
