The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented these statistics at a meeting of the Coordination Center for ensuring the departure of Ukrainian citizens from the TOT.

In 2022-2023, foreign embassies issued 19,692 certificates of return to Ukrainian citizens. Last year, they issued 12,263, and this year, they issued 7,429 more.

The Coordination Center is making changes to increase the SMS’s ability to issue certificates of return to Ukraine. These changes will enable remote identification of applicants through video.

The Coordination Center is still focused on helping undocumented citizens return to their home country if they are currently residing outside its borders.
