The Ministry of Reintegration’s hotlines are getting calls from citizens with inquiries about whether pension receivers must submit physical identification by December 31, 2023.

This issue was discussed at the meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for Ensuring the Realization of Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons, chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

The meeting participants stressed that only IDPs registered before February 24, 2022, should be identified within the specified time frame.

This can be done by:

– contacting any Oschadbank branch;

– access your electronic account on the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s website using a qualified electronic signature “Diia. Signature” (“Diia ID”).

– applying to Ukraine’s foreign embassy to get a paper that verifies the person’s existence. This document and the written application for continuation of pension payment should be sent by mail to the territorial office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the place of registration. Alternatively, it can be submitted through the electronic service portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

Just a reminder, after the Coordination Center’s research, regulatory changes have been drafted to prolong the due date for physically identifying these individuals till April 1, 2024. The proposed law is expected to be submitted to the government soon.
