180.7 million UAH was set up from the state budget reserve fund for financial assistance to those released from captivity and to the families of those still in captivity. The order was developed on the initiative of the Ministry of Reintegration and adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on November 17.

The document allocates 159.7 million UAH to give annual state financial aid to the families of prisoners of war, civilian hostages, and political prisoners. It is paid 100 thousand UAH for each year of captivity.

In addition, 21 million UAH is allocated to pay 100 thousand UAH of one-time state financial assistance to those released from enemy captivity.

The Ministry of Reintegration will transfer funds to the bank accounts of these individuals.

The Ministry of Reintegration thanks the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for helping execute the state’s policy on providing legal and social protection for released prisoners and their families.
