Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk led a meeting with members from the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Social Policy, and the Ministry of Finance.

The meeting was aimed at agreeing on further state policies to support vulnerable groups among the IDPs.

This is because as of February 1, 2024, it is planned to stop paying accommodation allowances to many IDPs by Resolution No. 709 of July 11, 2023. In this context, the Vice Prime Minister raises the issue of the possibility of extending payments to the most vulnerable categories of IDPs.

“We need to support internally displaced persons who have faced difficult circumstances as a result of armed aggression. In particular, I believe that IDPs should continue to receive payments to pensioners who have a small pension. And also to the residents of the territories of active and possible hostilities,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.

After the discussion, the Vice Prime Minister told the agencies in charge to check which categories of IDPs are getting payments. In a week, participants will meet to discuss proposals to assist the most vulnerable categories of IDPs.
