Since July 2023, over 13,500 Ukrainians have come back to Ukraine from russian territory through the humanitarian corridor in Sumy region. Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired a meeting about the evacuation through Sumy region and discussed the issue.
A center was created for individuals crossing the border. The center has established “Points of Invincibility” and shelters nearby.
Currently, work is underway to install a mobile shelter for 100-150 people. Iryna Vereshchuk thanked the “Proliska” group for providing the shelter with essential supplies.
The financial aid given to Ukrainians who came through the humanitarian path now exceeds 18 million UAH.
Mobile operators have already distributed 545 starter packs free of charge.
An extra bus route for evacuating people from Sumy to Poltava and then to Dnipro has been running for a week.
