On December 1, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to reallocate 18 million UAH from the budget of the Ministry of Reintegration for 2023. These funds will be redirected from other budget programs in the ministry to pay state aid to those released from captivity and to the families of prisoners.

The Ministry of Reintegration will provide 180 payments of 100,000 hryvnias each to individuals released from captivity or to families of those currently captive.

The decision will help the state protect and support individuals released from captivity, as well as families of prisoners of war, civilian hostages, and political prisoners.
