The focus of a special meeting led by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk was to arrange the supply of firewood to communities on the front line in Kherson Oblast.

Currently, 18,634 at-risk households across 18 communities in Kherson Oblast require firewood for the winter.

International humanitarian operators have confirmed their readiness to meet the needs of these households. In particular, this includes the provision of various types of solid fuel: fuel wood, coal, briquettes, firewood, and pellets. It also includes cash assistance.

2783 houses in the region have received aid, which is 19% of the total need. It’s hoped that all needs will be covered by the end of the year.
