Sweden is providing Ukraine with 1.4 billion SEK (about 120 million euros) to support the country’s population during the winter. The funds will be used for various purposes.

The World Bank’s Ukraine Recovery Fund will receive the majority of the funds, totaling SEK 900 million. The fund supports Ukraine’s infrastructure in the areas of energy, housing, healthcare, and transportation.

The funds will be used to purchase heating equipment and increase the capacity of the Ukrainian power grid. Additionally, measures to help Ukrainians survive the winter, such as constructing shelters, are being considered.
