The World Bank will give Ukraine an extra $1.34 billion in aid. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel.

Some of the funds received will be used for social payments. This includes pensions, teacher salaries, support for IDPs, and other priority state budget expenditures.

The Government of Japan provided most of the financial assistance, totaling $1.086 billion. The remaining funds come from grants provided by the United States, Switzerland, and the Ukraine Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Reform Trust Fund (URTF).
