The Government has supported amendments to the Rules on Marking Hazards Associated with Mines and Explosive Remnants of War, approved by Resolution No. 372 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on April 17, 2019.

They provide for the designation of hazardous areas contaminated with explosive ordnance, as well as the fencing of such areas by mine action operators, by the Law “On Mine Action in Ukraine” and the National State Standard of Ukraine 8820:2023 “Mine Action. Management Processes”.

The standard is based on the United Nations Mine Action Standards (IMAS).
