The event took place in Kyiv with the patronage of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The President of Ukraine, representatives from the Parliament and Government, leaders from churches and religious organizations of Ukraine, chaplains and military personnel, and diplomats from friendly countries attended the prayer breakfast.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister, read a prayer for the safe return of asylum seekers to Ukraine and the birth of healthy children. She also expressed gratitude to all the countries and families that provided shelter to Ukrainians.

In recent years, Ukraine has seen a rise in the popularity of prayer breakfasts, an important tradition in democratic countries. This trend has spread to most regions.
