Over 100,000 individuals relocated to safe areas in Ukraine as part of the mandatory evacuation from Donetsk Oblast

In August 2022, the mandatory evacuation of Donetsk Oblast’s population began. Over 100,000 people have since relocated to safe regions within the area, including 13.2 thousand children and 4.8 thousand individuals with reduced mobility. 

Evacuations from Donetsk region are carried out by a special train to Zhytomyr region every 8 days. Upon arrival, evacuees receive financial assistance.

Internally displaced persons in Zhytomyr region are housed in free shelters and provided with humanitarian, legal, and psychological assistance.

Evacuation is free of charge. To schedule an appointment, please contact your local authorities or call the hotline for all communities at (098) 890-33-18.
