This year, with the financial support of the UNHCR, extensive renovations are planned for three educational institutions in the region. This will make it possible to equip 900 beds for internally displaced persons, wrote Philip Pronin, head of the Poltava regional administration, on his Facebook page.

The partnership will also renovate housing in Velykobudyshchanska, Velykorublivska, Hoholivska, Novoselivska, and Pyriatynska municipalities.

In addition, work is underway to bring temporary shelters into compliance with government-approved standards.

As a reminder, in September 2023 the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the approval of the procedure for the operation of temporary accommodation facilities for internally displaced persons. For the first time, it defines the mechanism for establishing and registering such places, as well as the minimum requirements for supporting the lives of internally displaced persons.
