Over 9000 households in the Kherson region have already received fuel wood

This amounts to 48% of the total needs, the participants of a special meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk noted.

At the beginning of January, the need for solid fuel in the right bank of Kherson region amounted to 19,585 households in 18 municipalities. Of these, 9,325 have already received assistance.

This includes the provision of various types of solid fuels: firewood, coal, briquettes, firewood, and pellets. It also includes the provision of cash assistance.

International organizations have confirmed that they can provide fuel to the remaining households that have been identified. These organizations include the International Solidarity Fund, the SaveUA Charitable Foundation, the Czech humanitarian organization People in Need, the Danish Refugee Council, and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

The Vice Prime Minister expressed gratitude to international partners for their support in helping frontline communities get through the winter.
