In 2023, 1195 men and 29 women were released from enemy captivity. On January 3, 2024, they were exchanged as prisoners.

Since the beginning of last year, the Ministry of Reintegration and the National Information Bureau (NIB) have provided sets of essentials to 1224 released from captivity.

Each kit contained items to meet the basic needs of the released persons, including the state flag of Ukraine, clothing, shoes, sanitary products, a smartphone, food, and stationery. The list of items was approved by the Ministry of Reintegration on May 18, 2022, to ensure that the basic needs of the released persons were met.

In 2023, the relevant budget program purchased 1403 summer and winter sets worth more than 11.1 million UAH.

The state-owned enterprise ‘Ukrainian National Center for Peacebuilding’, which belongs to the Ministry of Reintegration, carried out the procurement. It performs the functions of the National Information Bureau.
