The Coordination Center for IDPs held a meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk to discuss this topic.

The Temporary Special Commission of the Verkhovna Rada has established a working group to address the housing issues of IDPs.

The focus of its work is, in particular:

– development of a strategy for providing IDPs with housing;

– creation of temporary housing funds for IDPs;

– conducting a systematic audit and inventory of all potentially habitable premises;

– Determining the state of use of each facility;

– calculating the cost of bringing each object to a proper living condition.

The working group will develop and implement mechanisms to raise funds from international partners and the construction industry to promptly address housing issues for IDPs.

The Vice Prime Minister emphasized that providing housing for IDPs should be a top priority for all responsible agencies. She also expressed gratitude to the MPs for their cooperation in resolving this issue.
