The ‘Shelter’ program compensates homeowners for accommodating one IDP at a rate of about 450 UAH per month (14.77 UAH per day).

Compensation is provided for free accommodation of IDPs. Collecting rent from IDPs for housing whose owner receives compensation under the ‘Shelter’ project is a violation.

Homeowners are not reimbursed for accommodating relatives, including adults, such as husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children, and grandchildren.
