The Ministry of Reintegration allocated over 55 million UAH last month to provide state financial assistance to individuals who were released from captivity and to family members of those who are still in captivity.

The assistance is a one-time annual payment of 100,000 hryvnias. The money has been transferred to the bank accounts of those who were released from captivity and the families of the prisoners.

The commission working under the Ministry of Reintegration established that these individuals were deprived of their liberty due to armed aggression against Ukraine.

In January 2024, the commission held its first meeting. The Ministry of Reintegration is still transferring funds to pay state aid to former prisoners of war and family members of those held in enemy captivity.
